The Libyans came to the Hydraulic Laboratory for help when their Marsha-el-Brega oil port needed to be enlarged. In the Noordoostpolder, the foundation has been laid for this impressive port. During the liberation struggle in 2012, the port was regularly in the news. Wave machines were used with this model. About 40 of these were in the Waterloopbos. These could move back and forth or rotate, creating different types of waves.
