Tourist landmark
Berceau
The umbrella lane is actually a neglected berceau, a leafy corridor. This beech corridor allowed the noble ladies to walk in the shade and their skin remained white. This was a beauty ideal at the time. Poor people worked in the sun all day and got tanned, noble ladies did not. To indicate how it looked in the past, a metal frame has been placed.
