Nationaal Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug

The Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a high sand ridge in the flat landscape, stretches from Hilversum to Rhenen. In 2003, the Utrechtse Heuvelrug with its extensive forests, heathlands, drifting sands and lovely fens was officially awarded the status of National Park. The owners of the park, Staatsbosbeheer, Het Utrechts Landschap, Natuurmonumenten and a number of private owners, jointly strive to protect and improve nature and recreation in this area.
