The buildings on the Lindeplein are built on an old beach wall. On the right is 'De Lindenhof' the birthplace of Henriette Roland-Holst. Max Liebermann painted the Lindenplein while an annual fair was taking place there. On the 2nd weekend of June during the Garden Market, the image of the square is comparable to the painting shown here on panel 11.
