Czaar Peterhuisje

The Czaar Peterhuisje is an authentic seventeenth-century Dutch workers house. In 1697 the Russian Peter the Great spent the night here when he came to learn the trade of a ship's carpenter in Zaandam. Van Lennep visited this location during his trip in 1823. You can still view the house today: it is now part of the Zaans Museum.
