Buitenplaats De Lariks

Commissioned by Mr. Mr. Henri Elisa Eduard R? Ell (1847-1923), this country house was built in 1914 - 1915. The first occupant was the Cremer family, later the estate became the property of the Akkerman family and in 1955 it was sold to the municipality for the purpose urban expansion. In the 1960s, the Larch residential area was built around the estate. In 1960 the house was sold to the Groene Kruis. They established a training center for maternity nurses here. The tourist office had its office here from 1983 and after that a family replacement boarding school was established. Since 2001 there is private occupation again and not accessible.
