Country house
Stania State
Jeppe of Stania founded the original house in the 16th century. In 1738 a new house was built by Hans Hendrik van Haersma, which largely burned down in 1813. The current house was built in 1854 and in 1934 it became a courtyard of the Fries Museum. An extension was built for this. A consultancy has been established there since 1978. The formal garden was transformed into landscape style in 1821, including ponds, a playground in the front and back garden. The estate is freely accessible.
