Beklimming Vaalserberg

The ascent to the Drielandenpunt from the Netherlands is one of the toughest climbs to be found in our flat country. This makes the Vaalserberg one of the more famous climbs in the Netherlands. Those who want to get the most altitude meters start at Landalpark Hoog Vaals. There it is immediately quite steep. Turn right at the T-junction. Once under the viaduct, the real fun begins. The road turns to the right and the gradient increases to about 10%. If you still have an eye for the environment, you will see that you are entering a beautiful and quiet forest. It remains extremely steep up to the hairpin bend, after which the percentages drop completely.
