Kasteel Hertefeld

Hertefeld Castle has been in the hands of the Von Hertelfeld family for 800 years. The building seemed to stand the test of time, but in April 1945 German troops burned the castle down so that it could not be of use to the Allies. The castle was not rebuilt and remained a ruin.
