Slot Wissen

The fourteenth-century Wissen Castle is located south of Weeze near the border with the Netherlands. In 1473, the Duke of Cleves officially acquired the Ambt Goch, the area around Weeze, and thus the castle of Wissen fell within the county of Cleves. Duke John II of Cleves gave the castle to Wessel von Lo? In 1497. The noble Von Lo family? has owned the castle ever since. Nowadays it is possible to spend the night in the castle and it can be rented for parties.
