Slot Walbeck

The history of Walbeck Castle dates back to the fourteenth century. For a long time, the castle was in the hands of fiefdoms of the counts and dukes of Guelders. Compared to other large buildings in Germany, the castle survived the Second World War quite well. It was still intact enough to serve as a rest home for miners. There is currently a hotel in the castle.
