Kasteel Weyer

Weyer Castle was built in the fourteenth century. Unlike Lobberich, Breyell did not belong to the Overkwartier, but to the rival Duchy of Jülich. Breyell was conveniently located for cities such as Cologne, Nijmegen, Aachen and Den Bosch and was therefore an important trading place, which also benefited the castle residents.
