Hoogwaterhuis met Annakapel

In the seventeenth century, the residents of Hasselt suffered a lot from flooding. As a result, so-called high-water houses were built, where people who lived along the Meuse could flee when the water overflowed. This high-water house dates from 1700 and a few years later the Anna Chapel was added to pray for extra protection.
