Sint-Jozefklooster
The Monastery of Saint Joseph once belonged to the Order of the Discalced Carmelites. The Carmelites moved to Smakt in the twentieth century to take care of the pilgrimage church, the Saint Joseph's Church. In 1965 the church was renovated and enlarged to accommodate the continuous flow of believers. In 2006 the Carmelites left the monastery, because no more novices came. Now the monastery is a care home.
