Gennepse Maasbrug
During the German invasion on May 10, 1940, the Gennepse Maasbrug was the first bridge to fall into the hands of the Germans. Between September 1944 and the spring of 1945, the Maas was again a front line, when the Allies managed to liberate the south of the Netherlands up to the major rivers after Operation Market Garden.
