Sint Petruskerk

The oldest church on this site dates from 990. It was built by order of Saint Hilsondis. The remains of this tuff Romanesque basilica were found in 1965 during a restoration. The lady of (Hilvaren) brook and Rode, Hildewaris, later renovated the church. In 1157, the church was one of the first in Brabant to be elevated to a collegiate church.
