J.L. Hooglandgemaal

The JL Hoogland pumping station is an electric pumping station in Stavoren in the Dutch province of Friesland. The building from 1966 with a curved roof was built according to a design by architect Piet de Vries. There are four screw pumps in the hall. The pumping station discharges the water from the Frisian storage basin into the IJsselmeer. At 6,000 m3 per minute, the discharge capacity of the JL Hoogland pumping station is one and a half times that of the Woudagemaal.
