Monument
Landgoed Reuversweerd
The national monument Reuversweerd was built around 1830 in Empire style, the French style that flourished in Napoleon's empire. Reuversweerd was originally owned by the Gelderse Colenbrander family. After its extinction it came into the possession of Baron Van Sytzama in 1941. The baron was executed by Dutch SS 'ers. During the Second World War, the Germans used the house as a radio poll station. The house was badly damaged by German and Canadian shelling at the end of the war. Since April 1945, the house has been empty and the clock has stopped. Reuversweerd has a new owner as of 2018.
