Grenspaal 171

Boundary 171 was, as one of the 186 boundary markers, placed in 1766 by order of the Duke of Guelders and the Bishop of M? Nster to mark the border between M? Nster and Guelders. This was to put a definitive end to the border disputes. The weapons of M? Nster and Gelre can still be seen on the sides of the pole.
