Snijkamer
This building now houses the Marius van Dokkum Museum, but it once housed the anatomical theatre, also known as the cutting room, of the University of Gelderland. This university was founded in 1648 by the States of Gelre, the highest governing body of Gelre with representatives of the cities and knighthoods. From the early eighteenth century, this room was used to give anatomy lessons to the students. In 1822 the university in Harderwijk was closed during the French period.
