Het Regthuys

The Regthuys was a center of activity for centuries. It was not only a court building but later also served as a town hall. Downstairs was the Waag, a public space where goods were weighed and traded. In 1917 the municipal council exchanged Het Regthuys for a larger building on the Middelweg. Today, the building is still used as a wedding hall and the historic Vereniging Oud Uitgeest has its accommodation on the top floor.
