Sint-Franciscuskerk

The St. Francis Church is one of the churches that the Bishop of M? Nster founded during the Eighty Years' War to provide space for the Dutch Catholics who attended church services in Germany. Catholic services were prohibited in the parts of the Netherlands where Protestant States troops were in power. That is why Catholics crossed the border for their masses. It is therefore no coincidence that this church is so close to the border.
