The building of the H. Nicolaaskerk is a striking appearance in Purmerend. The dome can be seen from all corners of the city. The building was designed by city architect WA Scholten and was built between 1851 and 1853. Since 1976 the church building has been a national monument. The Nicholas Parish has been located in the building on the Kaasmarkt since 1989. What makes St. Nicholas Church special is that it has three historic organs: the Garrells organ, the White organ and the B? Tz organ.
