Paalsteen aan de Platwijers
The boundary marker or 'pile stone' is a listed monument, which stands at the place where Hasselt, Zonhoven and Kuringen adjoin. For hundreds of years Zonhoven and Hasselt argued about the possession of the heath. On October 18, 1666, the boundaries between Zonhoven and Hasselt were demarcated and established by means of bluestone boundary stones. Only one of these stones is still in its original place.
