The first town hall from 1428 became a neo-gothic town hall around 1880. After the devastation of the Great War (1914-1918), it was rebuilt in 1923 in a regional Flemish Renaissance style. The belfry tower in the courtyard is a symbol of urban freedom. The town hall was thoroughly renovated in 2014-2016 and since 2015 the tourism department has been housed in the renovated annex.
