De Wijde Landen

De Wijde Landen is located opposite the Spaensweerd estate and used to be part of it. The house as it stands today was probably built in 1855, along with a brick factory in the Konijnenwaard behind it. The garden was laid out around 1910. From 1975 to 2011 it was the home of the Van den Driest family. Many people from Brummen know the house from this time because they were a friend of one of the eleven children of the Van den Driest family. The house is still inhabited privately. The new residents have renovated De Wijde Landen.
