Een luisterend oor

At the end of the watercourse through the Oude Aa you will find this bronze statue of Willem van der Velden. It portrays a man who listens attentively to the water flowing beneath him. The surface of the image has been processed and there are dark grooves all over it. This makes it look like the man has a kind of reptilian skin. This idea is reinforced by the green color and shape of his legs.
