Elips

The statue Elips was made by Jan Verschoor and it is based on an ellipse shape. When you walk around this image you will experience a different variation of this form each time. This ensures that the image acquires a certain playfulness. The statue is made of the heavy material bronze, but despite that it still makes a fragile impression. The feeling of heaviness is put into perspective, as it were. This idea is reinforced by the fact that the statue only rests on a single point on the pedestal.
