Tourist landmark
Wilheminahofje
This courtyard with 12 houses for the poor was built in 1878. These houses were later converted into modern homes for the elderly. The large lime tree in the middle of the garden was planted on the occasion of Queen Wilhelmina's inauguration in 1898. The entire courtyard was named after her on that occasion. Jeroen's first wooden chapel is said to have stood on the site of the courtyard in the 9th century.
