Tourist landmark
Lindenplein
The Lindenplein was once the central market place in the village due to the two village pumps from the 18th century that can be found there. You will also find the 17th-century country house De Lindenhof here with a large red beech tree that dominates the garden. Mainly the rectors of large schools and boarding schools lived here and they also taught here. In the 19th century it became a notary's house. This is where the daughter of the notary Henri? Tte van de Schalk grew up, who became well known as a writer and political activist after her marriage to Ronald Holst. A bust has been placed in her honor at the end of Lindenplein.
