Vissersmonument

At the head of the port of IJmuiden is the IJmuider Vissersmonument by the Amsterdam sculptor Henri M. (Han) Wezelaar (2001-1984), a three-meter-high bronze statue of a fisherman with a storm lantern in hand. The 16 boards show the names of 319 IJmuider fishermen who remained at sea since 1886.
