SHIP

There are a few impressive sea locks to the north of IJmuiden. You will find the SHIP information point on the banks of these locks. Here you will find more information about the construction of a new sea lock in this area. From the roof of the information center you can view the activities in the wider area and inside the center you will find a modern exhibition. Screens provide information about the lock, ports, businesses and the landscape in this area. The lock complex has also been reconstructed to scale here so that you can easily see what the lock will eventually look like. You can also play interactive games here. If you're lucky, a cruise ship will just pass by when you visit SHIP. Then you can see the lock in operation.
