Natuurgebied Lovenhoek

Lovenhoek is a nature reserve of more than 145 hectares with a surprising number of different habitats for plants and animals. The hamlet of Lovenhoek used to be in the center, where several farms stood until the beginning of the last century. On the dry sandy soils around the hamlet you found fields with wood edges and extensive moors. Except for some remains, the entire heather landscape was converted into coniferous forests.
