The Broeker Huis is a beautiful building full of history in the lovely village of Broek in Waterland. The house was built in 1775 by an Amsterdam city architect and for a long time it was used as an orphanage and later as a poorhouse of the church. The property was donated to the church by the wealthy widow Neeltje Pater. After the Second World War, the building served as a village hall and large youth hostel. Het Broeker Huis still functions as a village hall and you will also find an attractive restaurant here. Step into this restaurant and enjoy a delicious lunch, dinner, high tea or a refreshing drink with a snack. The kitchen of Het Broeker Huis uses the freshest ingredients and traditional methods of preparation. You can taste that in the delicious dishes that you are served here.
