Amerikaanse Begraafplaats

More than 8,000 soldiers are buried in this only American cemetery in the Netherlands. Most of them died during the liberation of the south-east of the Netherlands in WWII and the advance through Germany. The cemetery is visible far into the area through a thirty meter high tower. The territory of the cemetery has been made available to the United States of America government for perpetual use.
