Paal van Baal

The 'Paal van Baal' is not a real boundary marker but a successful imitation. This monument commemorates the signing of the 1974 border treaty. The marking 'Anno 1198' refers to the year in which the foundation for the dual nationality of the village was laid. Copyright photo: Mie De Backer
