Markrivier- en vallei

The Mark has its source in Merksplas, forms a natural border between Belgium and the Netherlands, and finally ends in Breda. In summer, large burnet and giant balsam color the valley pinkish red. On the bridge behind the Meerselmolen, you can take a breather at a 'poosplaats', a boulder with an ode to the Mark valley by poet Marc Pairon. Copyright photo: Mie De Backer
