Kasteelpark ter Loo

The ter Loo estate occupies an important place in the history of Loppem. In the 17th and 18th century, ter Loo was the seat of the manors of Loppem and Den Houtschen. From 1551 to 1916 the castle was inhabited by the De Schietere de Lophem family. Today the park is open to the public. In addition to a nice picnic area and an information board, you will also find a short walking loop here, which guides you through the park and along the sights such as the church and the Ter Loo castle. Tip: Cyclists and walkers can best reach the main entrance of the park via Zaggebroekstraat.
