True love belongs in a lock. There, between Hanover and Hildesheim, 135 meters above sea level, she lives on, silent and virtually untouched. Everywhere in this authentically preserved summer residence, the small signs of a great love can be seen and seen. And indeed, this castle is like a fairytale - but the love that lives there is a true story: the one between Queen Marie and George V, the last king of Hanover. The name of Schloss Marienburg has already been recorded forever to whom this manifesto of love was once dedicated: Her Majesty Queen Marie. Because as a sign of his strong love, King George V gave the Marienberg together with the castle still to be built to his wife in 1857 for her 39th birthday. When construction of the castle started in the same year, no one suspected that this truly royal testament to love would one day be one of Germany's most impressive architectural monuments.
