Sint Dionysiuskerk
The Sint Dionysiuskerk (also called the Rose Church) is located high up. The church was built between the seventh and tenth centuries and was probably already placed on a higher ground to protect it from the water. The building has been raised further over the centuries. Despite this, the church suffered a lot from the water. The Maas flowed right past the building, causing the tower to collapse around 1500. A new tower was built in 1515. In contrast to the rest of the building, it is made of brick.
