Kasteel Wissekerke

In the 10th century there was a water castle on the site of the current castle, which was part of a fortification belt on the Scheldt. The cellar from the 15th century and the tower from the 16th century are the oldest remains. In 1981 the castle, the imposing gatehouse, the old pigeon tower and the elegant suspension bridge over the park pond were protected as a monument.
