Museum Mietje Stroel, Eddy Wally, Regiment Tweede Gidsen en Heemkunde

Mietje Stroel, the girl who peed where she pleased. Raised by a smuggler at the Zelzaats dump, this foundling has a statue right in front of the town hall, and even its own museum in Kerkstraat. Mietje Stroel is also known as the official fiancée of Manneken Pis from Brussels. Under the same roof you can also visit the museum of the Regiment of the Second Guides, liberators of Zelzate during WWI, and there is also a museum in honor of Flanders' most famous charm singer Eddy Wally. The Selsaete Historical Society also has its home there.
