Scheepvaartmuseum en Scheepswerven

The museum of the history of shipbuilding in Flanders and Belgium, inland shipping and the sailing heritage from before 1600 to the present. The museum is located in the monumental master's residence from 1830 of the former shipbuilding entrepreneur Van Damme. The former shipyards are being developed into a lively, historical maritime heritage site. The site shows you the way in and around a shipyard at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century.
