The museum is located on the ground floor of the town hall on the Markt and is named after Jan Broeckaert, a Wetteraar who was a town clerk, clerk at the Court of First Instance in Dendermonde and a member of the Flemish Academy. This museum has a beautiful collection of traditional equipment , the means of lighting through the centuries, the industrial past of the Wetterse textiles Special features are a furnished rural inn, the farmhouse kitchen and the showpiece is the complete old interior of the Maudens pharmacy from the Van Cromphoutstraat.
