Schouselbroek

The Schouselbroek nature reserve is located between Temse and Steendorp, on the Scheldt. The nature reserve includes the Schouselbroek as well as the Oost-Sivepolder and the slope between Fort van Steendorp and the polder. With its 145 ha, the polder area forms an important biotope for 250 plant species, some of which are protected. Many snail species and small songbirds feel at home here. The sandbank is a meeting place for numerous waders.
