De Damvallei

The Dam Valley originated from an old meander of the Scheldt. Willow rows, small willow trunks and grasslands define the landscape. The main eye-catcher in the area is the Damvallei Lake, an artificial water feature that was created by sand extraction for the construction of the E17 motorway. Sailing is possible on the Damslootmeer, where competitions and sailing lessons are regularly organized.
