Domein Roosendael

In the thirteenth century, the Cistercian sisters founded an abbey in the Nete valley. Monastic life flourished there for five centuries, but nowadays there is almost nothing left of this abbey. After the French Revolution, the domain evolved into a beautiful country estate with a landscape park.
