Het Groen Waterke
One of the most photogenic places in Mechelen is what is popularly called the 'Groen Waterke', after the duckweed that covers the water. This is a part of the Melaan that was never filled in. You have a good view of the tower of the Refuge of Sint-Truiden. Nice detail: the tower is full of starling pots. They were used to catch the starlings. The birds were a delicacy at the time.
