Regenboogpad

The rainbow path is located in the city of Groningen on the square of the Ubbo Emmiussngel. This colorful path contributes to the acceptance and tolerance of homosexuals, lesbians and transgender people and the municipality wants to emphasize that everyone should be able to be themselves all year round. The rainbow path is not an official zebra crossing because pedestrians on a colored zebra crossing do not officially have right of way. To ensure a safe environment, the path has been constructed in a pedestrian zone. That way there is also room to stop and take photos if necessary.
