Burcht Pfalzgrafenstein
Pfalzgrafenstein Castle is a castle on the island of Falkenau, also known as the island of Pfalz. The castle was used to collect tolls on the Rhine from the beginning of the 14th century. In 1866 the castle fell into the hands of Prussia and the toll collection stopped in 1867. Since then it has been used as a signal tower for ship traffic.
